At least 50 indigenous people are said to have committed suicide in the north of Mexico, where freezing temperatures and a long drought, have left hundreds of members of the Raramuri tribe at the brink of starvation.
I saw a video about this a few days ago with a very compelling and heart-wrenching interview in Spanish. I’ve been searching for something in English to share here. Glad to know Univision is on tumblr and posting in English so more people know what’s going on. There are some collecting provisions, let’s hope it gets to who it’s intended for. What’s going on right now is inexcusable.
This is so sad and I think it’s important to bring awareness to these types of issues. Horrific realities like this...
